General Information

  • Seasonal Work: The main tourist season at Milford Sound Lodge runs from early October to early May. We operate year round but our staff requirements are reduced between May and October.
  • Live-in with Food: All positions at Milford Sound Lodge are “live-in” with accommodation and meals provided by the company on site for a nominal fee.
  • Flexible Hours:Rosters vary depending on the position, but are designed to allow time for employees to enjoy the surrounding wilderness and many activities, or to escape from Milford for a burst of city living.
  • Visa Requirements: We will only accept applications from overseas applicants if they already have a valid transferable work visa.

Reception /Housekeeping Staff

All our staff perform both reception and housekeeping duties. Working at reception requires outgoing people with good communication skills and plenty of patience, as you spend most of the day helping and advising people from all around the world. A few café skills such as espresso, bar and food service would be very handy, and a drivers license would top it off quite nicely.

Housekeeping is an essential part of any accommodation business, and much valued members of the Lodge team. If you are a house-proud kind of person who has a great attention to detail and a penchant for sparkling surfaces, we want you now!!
