• The Milford Track, a four day walk from Te Anau to Milford is acknowledged as one the world’s great walks and provides an iconic wilderness walking experience through beech forest and over the Mackinnon pass.
• The Holyford Track to the remnants of Jamestown in Martins Bay starts on the Milford Road past the divide and is perhaps the most diverse of Fiordland’s multi-day treks following the Holyford valley to the sea.
• The Routeburn, Greenstone & Caples Tracks are all accessible from the Milford Road and offer multi-day forest and alpine walking experiences to rival their more famous neighbour.
