UPDATE Wednesday 19th February – The Milford Road is currently closed due to damage from flooding and intense rain. The Milford Road is planned to reopen on the 21st February for visitors travelling on passenger service vehicles with 8 seats or more and on set convoy times only. The reopening is weather and road conditions dependent.
Milford Sound Lodge, thankfully, has not been damaged however remains closed until the first convoy arrives on the 21st February. If you have a chalet booking in place at the Lodge for arrival up to 28th February, we have sent you an important email to advise available transport arrangements. Please ensure you check your spam / junk folder. For those arriving post 28th February, we will be in regular contact to advise you of the latest transport arrangements as these will likely change.
Unfortunately for those travelling in campervans, you will be unable to drive the Milford Road for the forseeable future. For those with existing campervan bookings for arrival up to 28th February, we will be in touch also with more information and some suggested options so you can still see Milford Sound.
